APARNAA LAXMI

Aparnaa Laxmi, an Ambassador at The Global Women TechMakers program supported by Google, is also an Independent Director empaneled with National Association for Farmer Producer Organizations and a Social Scientist on the Ethics Committee of The National Brain Research Institute, Manesar, Gurugram. She is a bilingual poet (whose pen name is "Hina") and speaker on gender and women's issues, a resource person for live discussions and debates on issues of Children's Safety, Women's Empowerment, etc., on national TV channels, and a judge at various literary and cultural events. Aparnaa is an internationally published poet, and a Social Development Specialist. An alumnus of Indian Institute of Mass Communication and the Harvard Business School, a Fellow of Aspire Circle of Enlightened Social Leaders in India, Aparnaa has also been a member of various corporates' Internal Complaints Committees (ICC).

Aparnaa is a freelance Documentation Consultant with an experience of over 35 years in Content creation (written & Audio-visual), Bilingual Translation, Transliteration, community mobilization, and administration of social development projects. She is a Cyber Crime Awareness Consultant, verified Fact Checker, Certified Ethical Clean Exit Professional, POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at the Workplace) trainer, and a member of the Indian Lawyers Association.

She has a very strong "givers trait" and is not only a voluntary Road Safety Officer with the Gurugram Traffic Police, but has been managing several voluntary services for the Community as Honorary Founder Secretary of NGO EcoLib Foundation which works for National and International disaster relief and for empowerment and inclusivity of marginalized segments of society. She has been managing a pan India Cyber Security and Psychological Counselling Support line since the Covid pandemic period.

Aparnaa combines creativity, research and analytic skills to create audio-visual content to promote culture and peace, Sustainable Development Goals of the UN, Cyber Awareness and "Inspiring Women" through her YouTube Channel "Cyber Stree Logs".
Aparnaa's publications include "Oh Africa", Nano poems for Africa project under the aegis of World Poetry Movement, Silk Road Anthology "Arabian Nights - A Study in Women's Status", "Ancient Egyptians, Modern Poets-Seidenstraße Travel", "A Handbook of Cyber Security Terminology", Micro Save Focus note, "Dictionary of Modern Micro Finance Terminology", among several others.

Besides being a multi-gold medalist swimmer from the State of Uttar Pradesh, she is a well-awarded social worker. Her recognitions include Shakti Award by REET Foundation and Suburb Live Magazine, Woman Leaders of North India Award by CMO Asia, 1000 Women Faces of Asia Awards for Leadership, Swaavlambika Samman for Leadership and Excellence Award in promoting Cyber Security, designated among "Dettol Protectors" as a Frontline worker during the Covid Pandemic, Woman Super Achiever Award at World Women Leadership Congress, The Legend of Subhash Chandra Bose, "AdiShakti" Award; The Gurugram Achievers Award, Womennovator Top 20 among 100 Women Faces of India, DLF 5 Woman of Substance Award, Gold Medallist, over-all Champion Women's Open Aquatic Championship, Life Savers Association, West Bengal, among several other recognitions.


She is a supporter of social causes, viz. for Cancer patients, environmental awareness, against plastic pollution, promoting greenery and 'Khadi' as the fabric of India, etc., through Ramp Walks. She has received the title of "Mrs. Tilottama Beautiful Smile" and has donated her long hair twice to make wigs for Cancer patients. She is an avid photographic artist, with a keen interest in Indian Vocal Music, Embroidery, Theatre, and Performance Poetry.

Ms. Aparnaa resides in Gurugram with her family.
