Dr. SHASHI SEWSURN

DR. (MRS.) SHASHI SEWSURN has experience as serving as a clinical oncologist over 30 years. Education in university of Pennsylvania USA, India, and Mauritius. Recipient of fellowship at University of Pennsylvania, TATA Memorial Hospital Mumbai, UICC Fellowship to Geneva, IAEA fellowship at Vienna, Gold Medalist Academically.

She has wide work experience in USA, India, and Mauritius. She served as Regional Health Director at Dr A.G Jeetoo Hospital in the capital, Port-Louis. She served as the Head of Radiation and Clinical Oncology at Victoria Hospital and New Cancer Centre for over 8 years. She has served at the Victoria Hospital since June 1997. She also served as Lecturer Teaching staff at Bangalore medical college, India over 3 years. She was employed as RESIDENT DOCTOR at "Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology" a Regional Cancer Centre at Bangalore for six months. Rendering services to cancer patients both as outpatients and inpatients.

She also presented a scientific paper at World Cancer Congress, Geneva, Switzerland, Shanghai Chamber of Commerce Mauritius, IAEA Vienna Austria. She also presented in ASCO conference held in Mauritius and USA. She has six publications in her credit. Her noble dedicated service is recognized in Mauritius and globally.

She received the Global Women Leadership award from World Women Leadership Congress in February 2023, 2022, and 2020. She also received Africa's Woman Leaders Award by World Woman Leadership Congress Held in Mauritius December 2022. She was bestowed with the Promising Indian African Award, 100 Most Influential Award Woman of The Year November 2019 Mauritius.
